The Lomond Hill Runners are delighted to add a midweek race to our portfolio that has been waiting to be done for a number of years. The race starts and finishes at RSPB Loch Leven which is a fantastic facility we would like to make a donation to. So for every runner, £3 of the entry fee goes directly to the RSPB Loch Leven which I'm sure you will appreciate.

It is a cracking route with two main climbs and fast running in between, and a typical Lomie descent to finish. The route has fantastic views across Fife and Perthshire, and is very accessible from the M90.

In conjunction with Scottish Hill Runners race insurance requirements, runners are expected to carry the standard kit, map and compass, as the weather can be absolutely anything in June, and it is exposed and potentially disorientating up top, though marshalls are at key locations with some waymarking.

As it is the first time holding the race, and we don't know the size of field, prizes are likely to cover your race costs and some wine!!

Entries are now open on Entry Central here.

The ‘Lomies’ look forward to seeing you

Lomond Hill Runners have updated our yearly race to create a stunning long route, taking in the best features and views the Lomonds offer.  The route changes from a medium to long, to plug the need for more long races in the calendar and fill a gap that covers a lot of the historic Devil's Burdens race.
